CNN —Brian Wilson, musician and founding member of the hit ’60s rock band The Beach Boys, has been placed under a conservatorship following a Los Angeles court ruling on Thursday. According to the Wilson family, the decision to place Brian under a conservatorship came following the death of his wife, Melinda Wilson, in January. She encouraged me to make the music that was closest to my heart.”Wilson, pictured far left, was a founding member of The Beach Boys. He decided to quit touring with his band after a nervous breakdown in 1964, though he continued to write, arrange, produce and record The Beach Boys’ music. Wilson and The Beach Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001.

The British publisher of the actress Rebel Wilson’s memoir has redacted a portion of the book that details allegations of inappropriate behavior by Sacha Baron Cohen. In the memoir, “Rebel Rising,” Wilson, known for her comic roles in “Bridesmaids” and “Pitch Perfect,” candidly details her struggles with weight loss, sexuality and money. A representative for Baron Cohen has denied Wilson’s account. But Harper Collins, her publisher in the United Kingdom, redacted passages from a page of the memoir, images released by Getty showed. A spokesperson for Harper Collins confirmed the redaction in a statement to The Guardian.

CNN —Rebel Wilson is claiming Sacha Baron Cohen has tried to stop the release of her upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising.”Wilson and Baron Cohen starred together “The Brothers Grimsby” in 2016. “I will not be bullied or silenced with high priced lawyer or PR crisis managers,” Wilson wrote on her Instagram stories on Monday. “The ‘a**hole’ that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is Sacha Baron Cohen.”Without naming Baron Cohen, Wilson had previously written on social media: “He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth.”In her posts, Wilson did not specify what she wrote about Baron Cohen. In a 2016 interview with UK Marie Claire, Wilson spoke about Baron Cohen wanting her to film a nude scene in “The Brothers Grimsby,” which she declined.

It will be the 22nd time that CBS has carried the Super Bowl, which is the most among the four broadcast networks. Cohen said CBS analyst Jay Feely, who kicked in the NFL for 14 seasons, also gave his input on where to position the cameras. The upright cameras are part of 165 cameras CBS has for Sunday. There are also 23 augmented reality cameras that both CBS and Nickelodeon will use. While various bells and whistles, like AR, are nice, they also have to be used for the right reasons, which Cohen sees with the Nickelodeon broadcast.

Murtaugh, greatly abetted by Wilson, balances the heaviness of his material with a humor and a lightness of spirit that make “The Woman in the Wall” a brisk, engaging production. And the closing credits offer a bonus: a few bars of a haunting, unreleased number, “The Magdalene Song,” that Sinead O’Connor recorded shortly before her death which dovetails with Wilson’s performance.

Birds in North America will no longer be named after people, the American Ornithological Society announced Wednesday. “There is power in a name, and some English bird names have associations with the past that continue to be exclusionary and harmful today,” the organization's president, Colleen Handel, said in a statement. “Everyone who loves and cares about birds should be able to enjoy and study them freely.”Rather than review each bird named after a person individually, all such birds will be renamed, the organization announced. CNN —The alligator that was rescued last week after being reported wandering in Central Florida with the top half of its jaw missing is now under the care of an Orlando alligator park, according to a news release. The trapper who brought the alligator to Gatorland believed the animal “was possibly injured by a boat propeller and survived,” the statement added. The alligator “had basically no chance of surviving in the wild with such a severe injury,” the park added. The alligator was rescued Thursday evening in Florida after it was seen with its upper jaw cut off at Wilson’s Landing Park in Sanford in late August, and photos of it circulated across social media. On Facebook, Gatorland is also asking for help in naming the alligator.
